Margaret, I'm glad you found this wonderful web-site! You may have noticed that I am a fairly regular contributor, and, like the other people who have responded to your post, I was moved by your description of your experiences, which I can really identify with. Like you, I left the Church for a while when I was young, and my experience has been that God never abandons those who are "lapsed" but will find a way to bring them back if they want to come. So don't give up - and I hope you will continue to contribute to this web-site!
