Because we seem to answer the same question twenty times a day, namely, "What do You think She would like?"... Wherever you are acquiring gifts for your Lady who Smokes, here are the suggestions I, as the Holder Queen of My beloved subjects, give to those bringing tribute to their own Goddesses... 1.) An unnecessary word to veteran cigarette holder gift givers but of prime import to the novice - it is a tremendous help to know what Her favourite cigarette is. Size does matter. If you genuinely do not know and cannot find out (which does seem to happen) - a convertible holder is necessary. Her fragrance - subtle, sweetly lilting florals, spicily seductive Orientals, or timeless, classic parfums, like Chanel and Joy? Lipstick and fingernail polish colour? (If your Lady wears Scarlet, an all red holder simply will not do.) For the gentleman who pays close attention to his Lady's personality clues, colour selection is much simpler - and the rewards for his tribute far greater. When still in doubt, traditional black and gold is always, but always, appreciated. 3.) Occasion. Cigarette holders are a greater addiction than any mere craving for nicotine. Thus, a Lady's selection of holders should include holders of various styles and lengths so that never must Her lips touch paper. Shorter barrel lengths add charm and grace (and yes, eroticism) to the most casual smoke; the Dinner, Theatre, and Opera lengths lend formal drama; Cocktail length sparkling colours are the perfect contemporary sophistication for intoxicating encounters. 4.) Accoutrements. The cigarette holder is a necessity - accessories are the highlighting complements to the necessity that bridge the distance between a gift of style and the gift of stylish substance. Even the most pampered Lady must, alas, occasionally light Her own cigarette. A delightful feminine lighter, sleek and elegant, in a finish to match the holder's selection - is a thoughtful reminder on such occasions of you, her Knight in Fetish Armour. A cigarette case that matches both is the gift of Her Consort to the Queen. Cigarette holders as presents are, most certainly, the gift that both the recipient and the giver enjoy in equal measure - care in the selection will increase that pleasure, for both of you, tenfold.
