I discovered last night, after viewing a few vids there of some great smoking clips, that you CAN save ANY YouTube video out to your HD and view with any player. Ok, so if some of you already know this, skip the rest of this message and chalk this up as me being a little late for the party. Anywho, there are two programs that are free that will aid in your d'load process. One is called YouTube grabber. The program is very simple. All you do is d'load the program, unzip it and execute. There is a fill in field for the URL of the vid you want. type it in (or copy and paste which makes it easier) and then hit the grab button. The program will d'load the vid. Now, the file you get is a FLV file, so you'll need either a player that plays them OR you can go to another site to d'load the codecs. I recommend K-Lite's Codec pack. this pack has every codec you need to view any movie file, including FLVs. Once you've installed the codecs, you can open your player (or the one supplied, which seems to be a stripped down version of WMP). I use WMP 11 and have no problems viewing what was grabbed. Hopefully, this tidbit of info will become invaluable to anyone here wanting to keep the vids you see at YouTube of smokers. Grab the programs while you can, while YouTube is still around. Jim M.
