I am looking for some relatives that hopefully still live in Kyiv. My
grandfather's name was Joseph Michael Demitruk. We are not sure if you
would spell your name the same way, it could be Dmitruk or Dimitruk. He
lived in Omaha, Nebraska until he died in 1965.
American citizen in 1917. His birthday is February 2, 1899. He died in
1965. He sent care packages to family he had in Kyiv in the 1950s. He
was told that they would have to sell a cow to pay the taxes on the
packages so he stopped sending them.
