Well... as far as myself and my update,
Lets just say I am "OK" *My BP was finally down for the 1st time in like 6 mos or so (at least until it was Rachel's turn to see the dr... I am sure it went back UP when we got her news.) I have lost 8 lbs since my visit on March 28th (*Sigh* I had not even noticed) BUT... anywhoooooo... it is probably all fluid loss & the dr said he feels like the combo of meds we have me on now for the CHF and BP and other issues are FINALLY the correct mix and he wants me to stay on this "recipe" til he sees me again next month. The continued migranes "could be" my "normal migranes" OR could be side effects from the meds... soooooooooo, I guess no matter what... THAT is something I just have to deal with for now... I do have pain meds for that too but when I take all of these... I end up needing to take the Phenegran (sp?) to combat the worsened nausia. *Uggggggggg* What a joke... the cure is sometimes worse then the cause! Oh... my blood draw today... OUCH!!! *They found a "good" vein between my pinky knuckle and my ring finger knuckle on my left hand... THANK GOD they got a good flow for the 4 tubes they needed because I was NOT happy with the needle there!

Oh God... what can I say? The word "Major Surgery" seems to be her middle name!
They never did get to start her Iron Infusions yet because of Insurance and ppl who dictate what the Dr.s can and cannot do for us (I am sure you all know the drill) and when the Dr saw her blood work from today he said he not only understands WHY she is sleeping like 16 hours a day and always EXHAUSTED... he is amazed that she can even walk unassisted with as low as her blood and iron is!!! He asked her if she is still bleeding... and of course, YESSSSSS she is... (Very heavy, I might add) *She has been on shots and pills and nothing ever helps her! Sooooo... he has said "ENOUGH" and is sending her for a complete hysterectomy! They tried to contact 2-3 GYN's while we were there (to set up an appt and arrange the surgery) BUT, NONE would take her insurance *soooooo... if we do not hear back from him by Friday, we are to call his office on Monday and find out what the next step will be.
Rachel is just 20 years old... and her life has been nothing but one illness & surgery after another... (mentally, as you may know, she is not even near that age.) I sure NEVER expected to hear THIS... not so soon anyway. She is 1/2 the age I was when I had mine done.
Anywhooooo... will someone PLEASE remind me of what an "easy-going" / "positive" / "strong" person I am. It is "Possible" they may even go ahead and take her Apendix as well... but, we are not sure on that yet.
Good Lord, I get sooooooooo sick of seeing her go thru soo much... and then I whine about my little problems! I think I have now developed an "I don't care if I am a 'Heart Attack Waiting to Happen' attitude" ... from now on I am gonna say "I AM FINE" ..... NOW: FIX MY DAUGHTER!!! :'(
