Well, I ain't been doin' so hot lately. I missed most of the holiday season,by havin' to stay down. I think I have the Hepatitis C in remission. I was diagnosed in Sept with Severe Chronic Kidney Disease, stage 4 (stage 5 is either dialysis, transplant or death). I researched on the Net for homeopathic treatment. The same thang I did when I found out that I had Hepatitis C 7 years ago (they told me that I had one year then). I found enough to start treatin' it. I went last week to the nephrologist and I'm now in stage 3, so the homepathic treatments seem to be workin'. I have to go back in 3 months and I have to make an appt for a sonagram on my kidneys before then.
'Till then, I have to rest as much as I can. I tend our critters still, but have to stop and rest inbetween each job/critter. I'm weak as water and have no energy most of the time. I hope that changes soon. It's a bummer! I miss workin' with the critters, tendin', cleanin', playin' and trainin'.
We have about 38 now, it did get up to 45 at one time (for a couple of years). Some days I would be too worn out to even wash my face, lol.
We're expectin' another rescue, another Ball (royal) python with cage. Just don't know when it'll get here. How do ya say no to a critter that has been abused, neglected or abandoned? I can't get passed the look of pain in their eyes.
My phone # is 520-822-5082. We got DSL, so we could drop the other phone line. For those that have our toll-free #, it's still the same.
Critters are doin' as well as expected. Winter is hard on 'em that live outside, cause they are old, crippled or both. So far we've lost Bogie, our oldest pot-bellied pig (18), 2 of our Bearded Dragons and a budgie (small parakeet). We have another month to go thru, then spring will come and the rains. The desert will turn green, the dogs will stay outside longer (so less sand on the floor in here) and so will I.
It's hard for me to stay in durin' the spring. By July, it'll be so hot and humid that I won't be able to be outside much. Spring and Fall are the two times of the year that I feel the best too.
Dave is doin' better. He still has problems with his knees. Everytime he bangs 'em, the scab/scar opens up and then we start havin' to treat it again.I wish he'd use the truck or van, but they both need work and his motorcycle is brand new (the other one was totaled). It saves lots on the gas and since his work is an hour away (2 hours of drivin' time a day), I can't say nuttin'.
Was so glad to see post from ya, Sonja. I was worried cause we hadn't made contact for so long and neither of us, is in the best of health. Tell Art howdy for me. Will try to post or call ya soon. I wear out really fast, so the phone seems to be the easiest. I have a headset with it, so I can yak and continue to work,
Sandy C. It sounds lovely up there. I can member when I used to gather up snow and made snow cream for the youngin's. It was danged near a daily dessert in the winter, lol. How's the new cat doin'?
Fayne, thanks so much for the lovely picture of ya and family. I love your hair! I think it's neat to be able to see who I'm yakkin' too. Makes it more like havin' a conversation.
It's been great seein' some of my cybersisters up here. Nuttin' ever stays the same, so the board will never be, what it was once. But who knows, maybe it'll be better, if we keep it simple.
So much has happened out here and this is gettin' too long. I'm gonna have to rest atad, before I do anythin' else. Dave has a night shift tonight, so I'll be on duty for the critters and I just don't sleep well when he's gone.
Hope thangs are goin' well for my cybersisters and I hope we all have a better year than last. I found the email addy to our other list at yahoo, so maybe I can find some more of our sisters there, when I can post again.
luv, CougarCrone
