La Manzanilla, Mexico

I’ve been talking to many mothers in town about the need of having a place where they can take their children between the age of 1 and 3 to interact and socialize with other kids. Or simply so they can have a break from the daily challenges or for those who have to work. This place will also give mothers the opportunity to meet other moms and share experiences and information. I have also done research and had visited daycare facilities and I’ve come up with the idea of using the DIF building here in La Manzanilla to open a none profit day care facility. The building is sound but it needs some work, such as cleaning and be repair, but the mayor work can be done over time , however help is required to clean the building and the garden before the daycare can open. If you can spare some time on Wednesday 4th at 9:00 a.m. bring cleaning tools and products, gardening tools and gloves and help us prepare the facility. If you have toys and games these things would be gratefully received, the daycare will cost parents 30 pesos per child per day (3 hours) however this charge will cover the cost of staff and ongoing supplies, any cash donations will be helpful towards the repairing and up keeping of the building and jardin.
