Hi,
We are moving to an established gardened home..and the wonderful owner has planted an english flower garden with many many perennials.
She said " just rake the leaves into the garden to mulch the garden in the winter"
But I got to thinking....if the perennials go dormant...arn't all the flower stalks going to die..and don't I have to cut them off, or do I just leave them standing?
As you can tell, I am brand new to gardening, and want to do what is right, so that it will look good in the spring.
Can anyone help?
Thanks so much, Marg.
