Posted by California Guy I live in Northern California and want to get somethting to replace the turf in my front yard. The area has partial to full shade most of the time and I was thinking of putting in a clover or a moss as a ground cover. I was wondering if anyone had any other good alternatives. Im looking for something that doesn't grow any higher than 3-4" tall, will grow well under and tree and can take infrequent foot traffic. By the time I shape the area and add boarders and such the area I want to cover will be less than 200 square feet. Any advise would be welcome especialy if you have an idea where I can buy or order from.
