It has been a long time since you posted this question. If you are still there, here is the answer. First of all tulips and daffodils love colder climates. As a matter of fact, unless the bulbs are "cooled" they will not bloom. tulips should not be exposed to high temperatures (around 85 F) during summer. If they are, they will not bloom. If you live in a warm climate you have to dig tulips in summer and keep them in the refrigerator for two weeks before planting them again in November. I hope you find this info useful.
