Her son's name is Ethan Tyler. He is a 13 year old young man that is currently fighting for his life. Ethan is a smart and generous boy that loves life and sports( especially Tarheels). He never complained about anything and loved everyone. Several weeks ago Ethan started to complain of headaches. After days of pain with no relief, we took him to the emergency room. The doctor peformed a CT scan and diagnosed him with a sinus infection. After completeing all the medicatins , Ethan didn't improve. A week later he was taken to another doctor that treated Ethan for rocky mtn spotted fever, but was really unsure what was wrong. Two days later Ethan became unaware of his surroundings and once again back to the hospital. That day he was seen by a man (DR. EINSTEIN) that saved his life. Dr. Einstein performed several tests and refused to give up. After being in the ER for 12 hours he done an MRI and diagnosed Ethan with a rare brain infection. The sinus infection Ethan was diagnosed with prior had broken down the barrier between the nasal cavity and the brain. His brain became infected and started to form abscesses. Ethan was immediately transported to Baptist hospital to have emergency brain surgery. Upon our arrival several neurosurgeons came to Ethans bedside and described the infection very rare. Within 1 hour ethan was sent to the OR to have a 4 hour brain surgery. After surgery Ethan was placed in ICU were later on that day we discovered he was paralyzed on his right side. Our hearts hit the ground. Our beautiful son had not only been cut on but now couldnt move. The next day he was sent back to the OR where anoter 5 hour surgery was performed on is brain. It has been 3 days since he last surgery and our son is fighting for his life. He now has had 4 seizures and still paralyzed. Today Ethan did wake up and grin. We are so proud of him. Please keep Ethan in your prayers.... She is a mother of 4 and not working right now.The money will be used to pay bills while not working and get the house ready for her son to come home.It takes allot of money to make the house handicapped accessable. I'm donating $100 to get this started. If you want to donate please contact me. Please, if you can help get a tournament together to raise money contact me to help set this up.
