I would like to thank everyone that come out to fish with us Saturday night on Lake Hickory. It surely was a beautiful weekend with pleasant temperatures for fishing. We had a total of 12 teams to come out to compete. There were 2 flatheads caught in this tournament and the first 2 flatheads to ever be weighed in at a NCCATS Lake Hickory catfish tournament. We've heard for years that there were flatheads in Lake Hickory but this was the first time that anyone had weighed in or brought to the weigh-in.
New Lake Hickory Record set for 5 catfish. Old record was just over 57 pounds.

1st Place went to Kevin Custer, Jay Johnson & Omar Edwards with a 5 fish stringer weighing in at 60.8 pounds and won $200.
2nd Place went to Chris Fraley & Dennis Leonard with a 5 fish stringer weighing in at 36.6 pounds and won $100.
3rd Place went to Wayne Estes & Jeff Davis with a 5 fish stringer weighing in at 31.8 pounds and won $60.
Big Fish of the tournament was a flathead weighing in at 27.2 pounds and went to the team of Kevin Custer, Jay Johnson & Omar Edwards winning them $120. They also entered the Big Fish Side Pot that 7 teams entered and won $140.
4th Place went to Randy & Jonathon Reinheardt weighing in at 27.8 pounds.
5th Place went to Troy Cornett, Chris Shelton & Chris Griffin weighing in at 17.9 pounds.
6th Place went to Chris Woods, Brent Crouch & Chad Woods weighing in at 8.5 pounds.
