Well, the worst case scenario that can happen with hybrids is that they do end up breeding with the Santee Cooper stripers. Then, later on down the road the Santee Cooper hybrids escape into the bay and run with the bay stripers. Then, later later down the road end up infecting the whole pure bred stripers. Then all the striper fisherman that fishes the bay up to Canada wonder,"Why am I catching all these hybrids and what happen to all the 50 pounders ha ha". This probably won't happen because if it can, it would've already, but who knows? I'm not a biologist. Kinda reminds me of Lake Norman's spotted bass. They are outta control and taking over. You can rarely catch a bass over 2.5 pounds and majority of them are spots or hybrid bass.
