We had 14 teams to come out and test their skill on Lake Norman. Due to a wreck that at highway 150 jammed up with traffic we had a 15 minute late start but everything panned out ok. The skies looked very threatening before and during the first hour of the tournament but everything calmed down and it was actually a nice kind of calm and cool night for catfishing.
The talk at the scales for the night was that it was a pretty slow night for the catfish bite for most. Of course, you know someone will always bring in the big cats and sure enough that they did.
Congratulations!!! 1st Place went to Ken Tucker and Aaron Civcevich weighing in a 2 fish limit at 63.0 pounds winning them $220.
2nd Place went to Brandon Miller weighing in a 2 fish limit at 54.4 pounds winning him $120.
3rd Place went to Randy Reinheardt, T.W. Hollar & Eddy weighing in a 2 fish limit at 42.5 pounds winning them $80.
The Big Fish of the tournament went to Ken Tucker and Aaron Civcevich weighing in a flathead at 39.2 pounds winning them $140. Tucker and Civcevich also entered the optional Big Fish Sidepot winning them $240.
Congratulations and thanks to all that came out to join in on a good night of family oriented fishing fun!
