Starting with a bang on New Years Eve at The Austin Music Hall in front of three thousand as openers for Los Lonely Boys. Onto South By Southwest in March where the band won the Austin Music Award for Best New Band as well as placing in many other categories. In February/March GRADY opened a number of dates for the reunion of The Arc Angels. April 21 was an exciting night opening for both The Black Crowes at The Verizon Theatre and Link Wray at The Continental in Houston. In May the CD Y.U. So Shady was released in Canada by Warner Canada, followed by an extensive summer/fall tour taking in Quebec City, Montreal, Saint Adele, Ottawa, Kingston, Belleville, Brampton, Toronto, Peterborough, Oshawa, Chatham, Guelph, London, Hamilton, Thorold, North Bay, Winnipeg, ,Saskatoon, Regina, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Grande Prairie,Surrey, Vancouver, Victoria, and Nanaimo.
GRADY also had a busy summer in Texas, playing a number of Festivals including The Austin City Limits Music Festival, The Keep Austin Weird Festival, The Bat Festival, The Kontinentals Lone Star Roundup, The Autmus Festval in Laredo, The Velocity Games in Corpus Christi, The Mardi Gras in Galveston, as well as The WNED Guitar Festival in Buffalo.
GRADY also got to do lots of shows with our Texas brethern, Honky, Hellepeno, Amplified Heat, Broken Teeth, Gary Clark Jr, Redd Volkaert, Del Castillo, Scott Biram, Chili Cold Blood, Podunk, and Vallejo.
We’re currently in the studio working on some new slabs. Looking to do a lot more touring in the New Year. A couple of notable things. Friday Dec 2 we’ll be back at The Continental 10PM sharp opening for The Booze Weasels. This should be good. The Booze Weasels are David Holt on guitar, vocals, David Grissom on guitar, vocals and Joe Ely’s rhythm section. They play rock n roll. Sat Dec 3 we’ll be in Dallas at The Grenada Theater opening for Monte Montgomery. We start at 8PM.
On Dec 12 we leave for a holiday/show in Maui. The show is on Friday Dec 16, The Arc Angels and Grady. The hotel package is still available till Dec 7 by contacting Don thru the link on the Grady Website.
