ASG Song Contest Update
We are finalizing the category and prize details for the fall songwriting contest even as I write this. However, for now, you need to know there will be a short window in which to enter, so start getting your best songs ready to enter in September. The awards show will take place on November 17th at the Embassy Suites Hotel on the eve of the Songwriter Conference. There will be many legendary songwriters in attendance that evening, so make your plans now to be there by reserving the date.
And, while you're at it, block out the entire weekend, because you will definitely want to be with ASG for the Annual Songwriters' Conference there at the Embassy Suites. If you're coming in from out of town for the conference, the Embassy Suites is already accepting reservations for accommodations at the hotel that weekend. So, get the jump on the rush and reserve your room now.
That's it for now. See y'all Sunday at Threadgill's. In the meantime, make time in the next 72 hours to write yourself a new song. If everyone of us on this email list does it, there will be thousands of new songs on the planet before the weekend is up. Think about it!
