Dear Friends,
In the wee hours of this past Thursday morning, between midnight and 6:00am, thieves stole the Del Castillo band’s road trailer and contents, from outside of their South Austin recording & rehearsal studio.
The trailer is a 2006 “Express” model, manufactured by “Forest River / Continental Cargo”. It is dove-gray, 2-wheels per side with 6-lug wheels, custom configured with 2 x 5200# capacity axles. There is a metal apron across the lower front, it has a flush side door, and rear ramp door. TX Trailer Plate #29Z-CKF. VIN #5NHUEX6297Y004271. The last 4 digits of the VIN, “4271” are welded on the center pipe of the tongue.
Contents include mostly stage gear: Shure wireless mics, receivers, in-ear monitors & beltpacks; drum & amp mics; Yamaha 24-Ch/12-Buss Mixer w/Splitter Box & Snake; 19 empty Keal road cases for drums, percussion, amps, and guitars (stenciled “Del Castillo”), including a Keal “Guitar World” drawer-case of accessories & a guitar caddy. Other important items include a G&L 4-string bass, Ampeg SVT-III Bass head, Gallien-Krueger 400 RB Mark IV Bass Head, Gallien-Krueger 4x10 cabinet, Trace-Elliot TA2000S acoustic amp, various cymbals, stands, picks, strings, batteries, tools, etc. A complete list is available if you feel it might be helpful.
As this has a major impact on the band's touring ability, we would be most appreciative and very grateful for your vigilance in keeping an eye or an ear out for any information leading to the return of our gear and our trailer, and if you do run across something, please let us know immediately, or call the Austin Police Department. The theft is being investigated by state, county, and city auto theft divisions. The band is offering a reward for the return of the trailer and all of its contents.
Above all, protect your own gear, and thanks for your time.
Best regards,
Dave Brichler
