he Austin Music Foundation is getting ready to lauch its inaugural Spotlight Series, a very special live music event which will take place on Saturday May 8th, 2004.
This one night music festival features EXCLUSIVELY AUSTIN BANDS. 34 Bands. 7 Stages. One night.
The first 1,000 ticketholders on the night of show will receive a free Spotlight Series Compilation CD that you can't buy - it's exclusive to this event!
AMF's 1st SPOTLIGHT SERIES!
The Spotlight Series will feature 34 live bands on 7 stages in the Red River district.This event joins together local artists and music fans to promote and celebrate Austin and its awesome musical force.
The Spotlight Series is a music festival where AMF gives center-stage to Austin's artists across a variety of musical genres and styles, featuring both recognized and up-and-coming talent. The first Spotlight event highlights hip-hop, alt rock, pop punk, DJ's, pop rock, heavy metal, and more.
We want this event to be a huge success so that we can have other Spotlights in the future featuring other great genres of Austin music. This is Austin music for Austin fans, so please come out and support our vibrant local music scene!
WHAT: AMF's 1st Spotlight Series
WHEN: Saturday, May 8th, 2004
TIME: Doors open at 7:00pm - First act on at 8:00pm
WHERE: Stubb's BBQ, Emo's (2 stages), Red Eyed Fly, Caucus Club (2 stages), and Headhunters. All of these venues are proud to say that they support live local music regularly.
TICKETS: Wristbands are ON SALE NOW through Front Gate Tickets. Wristbands are $20. Each wristband entitles the purchaser to visit any of the 7 stages from 8pm - 2am. Doors are at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.frontgatetickets.com, by phone at 512.389.0315, and at the following outlets: Jo's Coffee, Stubb's BBQ, Waterloo Records, CD Warehouse (Central), CD Warehouse (South), CD Warehouse (Lakeline), CD Warehouse (Round Rock)
The first 1,000 people to redeem their advance ticket or buy their wristband at the Stubb's box office on the day of show will receive a FREE Spotlight Series Compilation CD featuring tracks from Spotlight Bands.
