Dear Friends,
If you are looking for some fun the week of SXSW, my
new band is playing at the Carousel Lounge, 7-9 pm, on
Tuesday, March 15. The Carousel Lounge is located at
1110 E. 52nd St. in Austin. (Just north of the
intersection of 35 and 51st Street near the old
airport). Phone is 452-6790. Admission is free.
The Carousel Lounge has an eclectic, friendly pub-like
atmosphere and hosts to many good bands of all genres.
I hope you can come out and hear the talented guys
who play in my original rock/blues/jazz band with me:
Eric Calistri, a versatile, in-demand lead guitarist
with 30 years experience who has played with other
quality entertainers like The Recliners, Mary Welch &
Los Curanderos, and the Katie O Trio; my drummer, Roy
Hernandez, has played with cover bands including The
Sharp Dressed Men, a bearded ZZ Top tribute band!
Bass player Jack Heiss is a veteran of R&B and big
band swing, and he plays with soul.
If you haven?t heard my CD, here are descriptions of
some songs people appreciate:
Frogs in Princes? Clothing. In your dating
experience, have you ever kissed someone you thought
was a prince or princess, & found out he/she was
really a frog in disguise? This humorous favorite
describes my dates with the swingin? frog dude ?Jack?
who wore a top-hat, had a cool lakefront pad & a
turtleshell yacht; then one day I found out he was
also seeing Tree?na Toad

You?ve Got Me Goin? Crazy is a stirring Santana-esque
soundscape which invites you to the dance of love.
?My heart is like the sky, & I feel like I can fly

Still in Love has brought tears to the eyes of men and
women alike. Early childhood observations at
Grandma's, remembered years later, now reveal my
grandmother's unspoken romantic heart. "Grandma took
care of the family; never talked much about herself
..."

FYI, my band also plays cover music from Heart to
Patsy Cline to Sheryl Crow and is available to make
your private party special!
Roy, Jack, Eric, and I hope to play for you and your
