Sheez, switch this discussion to fine wine and I win hands down! Blew an "A" race for me on Sunday after two back-to-back nights of debauchery. Was actually cocky enough to think I would be competitive in a masters crit race with many pro/1/2s even with a hangover. Not! Got dropped in 5 laps. Ouch. My only positive thought is that half the field got dropped by then. Big lesson. No, not stop drinking before a race . . . but stop racing after a drink!
