Now for the issue.... once more we've had one of the leagues major cup finals played with no trophy to present to the winning team. Why does this keep happening? Surely the management committee should be going all out to ensure trophies are there to present on the night so as the successful team can celebrate properly with it. This would ensure any photos taken can be forwarded onto the press for printing. Which in turn would be good publicity for the league. It must have been great for the Egremont players to win tonight but to have no official presentation party (apologies to Bernard as i know you did your best with your speech) to present the trophy is a disgrace to the league. This should never happen again! All future finals under the control of WACCA must have the appropriate trophy to present on the day/night from someone on the management committee. It all looks very amateurish otherwise. This league needs to move forward with good publicity not backwards!! Get it sorted out in time for the next final!!!! JG

First of all congratulations to Egremont on becoming the new Trout Cup holders with a very tense one run victory over Royal George at Cleator tonight. The match was played in a great spirit and was very enjoyable (despite being on the losing team!!).
