Posted by secretary 2 Because Seascale & WCLS were given the option of reversing the grounds for the 2 semi-finals but both teams did not want to. 3 The grass wicket that is used by WACCA closest to you is Broughton - they have only played one League game at home so far this season. The Broughton v Isel fixture was reversed to get it played. 4 I spoke to Cockermouths fixture Secretary on July 5th to confirm both the July 9th & 16th semi-finals & heard nothing to the contrary. July 9th SRC semi-final was played without a hitch. If you can find any more affordable & available cricket pitches in Copeland please let me know. I appreciate that it isn't the first time it has happened, but fixture planning begins in January, ground booking in February, the handbooks go to the printers in March & are distributed in April. The fixture planning cannot begin until the weekend League & Junior League fixtures are available to me, which greatly limits the available options. I have had complaints that one team or another is at home in the semi-final or final to which i have had to point out that all (or almost all) the 'Cricket grounds'are fully booked often before the midweek season begins!

1 Because on the set date July 16 Seascales, Cleators & Whitehavens grounds were in use for under 11s cricket.
