I've said before that I believe that Mac did do steroids-- yet that doesn't affect me one bit as a hardcore fan, and I do believe he should be in the HOF no question. Even without steroids he's a home run hitter and would no doubt hit 500. His AB per HR ratio was always outstanding. The difference between him and Bonds is that Mac NEVER lied to the public--he just didn't give any information. With Bonds there is surmounting evidence of his use and lies, and being an ass to fans and press doesn't help.
