It is funny, how once again the baseball writers want to talk about something a player did after he was out of the game. Mcgwires record while playing the game speaks for itself and he was a great for the game. True, that he was probably ill advised during the congressional hearings, but that does not mean that he took illegal steroids, as a matter of fact countless times admitted to using an over the counter product that was not banned by baseball. Maybe, McGwire was just not going to sit there and start telling all he knew about others in the game and what they did or did not do, thus the comment "I am not here to talk about the past"
Mark Mcgwire gave this great game life again, He played the game to the point where he should be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Look at his record!!
