Absolutely. But IMO Bonds has been less about steroids and more about HGH (human growth hormone)..which is superior to many steroids...but it's not the easiest thing to obtain and it's very pricey. I've never used it...and won't for various reasons. Pharmacuetical HGH is really like the fountain of youth. In addition to being able to build alot of muscle mass while burning fat, it can improve eyesight, reflexes, and heal injuries. Of course, side effects exist too. Not only will your muscles grow, but also your bones (particularly in the face/skull, hands and feet) and even your internal organs. It also needs to be taken with Insulin, which is also dangerous to those that don't need it otherwise. Bonds has all the classic signs of HGH use. The other benefit it has over steroids is that a person can really half-ass their way through workouts and will still grow and burn fat at incredible rates while with most steroids, you still have to bust your butt in the gym to maximize their effects.
