exactly McGwire wasn't the best fielder in the majors but he did win a gold glove. Mark was a consisitent force in the field and at the plate. He did play the complete game. the writers make it seem like he didn't go out on the field and play they make it out like all he did was hit the ball. if that's all he did he would of stayed in the game until he got to 600 homeruns but mark said he wasn't going to stay in to be strictly a hitter he wanted to play the game he loved, the whole game.I think that says alot about Mark.
