I just want to say that I really don't care what comes out about the "Steroid Era" of baseball. Great players like Mark McGwire should not be the league's scapegoat for it's own shortcomings. Rules should have been in place long ago, so that this wouldn't be an issue today. You can't place any blame on any player during this period, when the rules were not in place to be broken.
I will always be a fan of Mr. McGwire and his accomplishments, whether or not he took anything. There is no substitute for perfect timing and perfect swing on a 95 mph fastball. Steroids can't teach you how to be a great hitter, and wait for your pitch.
I will always be a fan!
