In my opinion, whether it was illegal at the time should not give a person an excuse. A person should have a moral compass that tells them right and wrong. I am from Roger Maris' hometown of Fargo, ND, so I am very biased on the homerun subject. If there is a problem with who should be in the Hall of Fame, why isn't Roger? Not everyone with a great record can be there, it takes far more than that, I guess. If anyone here wants to comment, I just want to say that I am not versed on baseball lingo and stats, I just like Roger because he was a good man and my Dad got to meet him when he did the Roger Maris Golf Tournament in Fargo.
