he didn't make the HOF because he doesn't have the numbers -- he only really qualifies on home runs, he was an average to subpar hitter otherwise. fine, fine, he got walked a lot. in that sense, he was a "pure" hitter... he had one of three outcomes at the plate: walk, strike out, or hit a home run. even if you ignore the fact the he used performance enhancing drugs, he still only qualifies to be on a plaque somewhere comemorating his steroid fueled duel with Sammy Sosa for a single season home run record, not as vote inducted member of the BBHOF.
