Well it's interesting that you say this because (regarding the story I just told) my mother-in-law and her siblings believed that when they saw this thing it was the devil and still pretty much hold to that belief today. As far as "boning up", I never stated that I saw him or was seeing him. Just because ancient folklore suggests that something unknown came from a metaphysical reality construct (i.e. hell, purgatory, etc) does not mean that what they experienced was in fact an extraterristrial encounter viz. Neil Freer and Breaking the Godspell, the entire Elohim controversy, etc. I never suggested that what my mother-in-law encountered was an E.T., I simply pointed out that during the time period and region that she saw this in there were other, as of yet, unexplained things happening as well. It could have been Mumbo Jumbo God of the Congo for all I know. I really don't have a validated opinion on the matter. Obviously I was aware of the things you mentioned regarding Pleasant or I wouldn't have made the statements I did. In fact did you even read the post or did you just see the title and respond? Please stick to the relevancies and don't add excremental ramblings about native american shamans doing exorcisms. I didn't ask about that.
