Convention time...

1. Former president, who attended convention for the past decade (while he was waiting to be elected president) is suddenly unavailable for "President's Night." Could it be that he does not want to give in the traditional President Night's offering ($100 per pastor).

2. Registration chair, who began registering convention attendees at high noon the on the day of Pentecost...she (along with all members of her crew) are unavailable to run registration.

3. Convention Executive Committee officer schedules annnual Fall revival for the same nights as the Convention, then asks another Convention Executive Committee officer to preach it.

Somebody asked: "What in the HELL is wrong with the church?"

I've been laughing (to keep from crying) all week.
