I tend to get to places just in the nick of time but on time. It seems that EVERYTIME 
I make the extra effort to get somewhere early - It NEVER pays off - its an ongoing inside joke with myself. I get to reheaqrsal 30 minutes early to review & prep & there's a busioness meeting going on. I get to the airport extra early to diminish the stress, hussle & bussle and the Plane is delayed.
I then share the inside joke with the folks waiting for the meeting to finish then I ger rebuked - YOU'RE DOING THIS FOR GOD, DON'T COMPLAIN. Perfect, now I'm early, nothing to do, shirt saoaked from the walk from the parking lot to the vestibule due to the heat wave.
What I learned is to just get there on time - NEVER early! I just gotta figure out who taught me that...lol Satan or The Holy Spirit.
Typical of me as well is that I'm highly dis/unorganized. Being that I'm endeavoring to put that lifelong missing the mark condition of mine - I woke up early today to review the song - I watched a couple of youtube tutorials for "I just want to praise you" and was quite comfortable with the whole song, key changes & everything - I played it through with different beats just to make it second nature. Yay for Vince - finally really preparing for a change instead of cramming. I learnt everything - even though there's a bass player - I spent time going over the bass parts in each key change, the organ and even ythe melody - A Negroe was ready for everything I thought, lol, It actually felt good being prepared for a change! I can't lie - I was proud bean-head for once! btw I was even early despite the promise I swore to Satan to never be early - even had spare time to go siight seeing in the area.
Choir gets up - we begin everything's going swell until they modulated the third time - the song only modulates twice from Gb to G then from G to Ab.
Long story short - the same Minister / Elder lady that rebuked because she assumed I was complaining (i assume thats what she assumed)story modulated 3 times instead of the two that we did in all the prior rehearsals / services!
Never again will I prepare and certainly, never again will I go anywhere early - Thanks for the lessons Satan!
I took me a minute to get comfortable with the unintentional key - But its all good - truly an honest mistake. I play in all keys - but that last key was played with - ummmm, less precision, LOL
