Musicians Rehearsal

Good afternoon:

Just a quick question for all of you. Currently, we pay our musicians when they play on Sunday morning for worship. We currently have two worship services and they're provided a pay for each service.

Many times, they will miss a rehearsal or two and come and play on Sunday.

Those of you that have this occur, what do you do? Do you reduce their pay since they missed the rehearsal, do you not allow them to play, even though the songs may be familiar to them already?

Rehearsals are important. I want to make sure they all understand that...I want to make sure I do the right thing here. Your input is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
