I recently purchased a 99 Miata with 92,500 miles.
I had the timinig belt replaced, as well as, a complete tune-up with new plugs, and wires. Now the "check engine" light is on. The garage I deal with indicates that their diagnostic equipment which uses "generic software" states it is a rear 02 sensor malfunction or catalytic converter problem. The front 02 sensor was replaced by the dealer when I bought the car. Any idea's about what should be replaced short of taking it to the nearest dealer (about 50 miles away)for exact diagnosis.
