Two pubs which always caused me to smile when I used to drive by several years ago were the DOGHOUSE, just outside Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, and the MOODY COW at Upton Bishop, Herefordshire.
I'm pretty certain the MOODY COW is still around, but suspect that the DOGHOUSE may have succumbed to conversion to a private dwelling.
Can't tell you the meanings behind the names, I'm afraid, although I could make a few suggestions!
