Being Leicester born and bred, I actually played a darts match or two in this pub in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but haven't been in for about 25 years. I have no firm evidence to cite but disitinctly remember reading somewhere that it was a 1930s-built pub. I think the separate bar and lounge layouts that I saw in the early 80s were original. Again, I have no firm historical sources to hand, but will let you know if I find any.
