I am looking for any historical notes in connection with the Stone pub in Northfield Birmingham, next to St Laurence Church. It was also known as the Great Stone Inn and has an adjacent walled enclosure known as the pound which is thought to have been used to stable stray horses. The stone was originally built into the corner of the building but this has been moved into the pound to ease the movement of traffic round the corner.
