In Kirk Merrington There are three pubs now thw the Fox and Hounds Has bee there for a least a hundred and fifty YearsThe Half Moon and The Grayhound but there was a pub called The bay horse it was in the village in the 17th century the land lord was a man called Willy Maning I am not sure that surname is right. The Bay horse is now a privte house.It still has in the harth a tomb stone that he got his locals to carry back as a bet he gave them a sup of ale.
