I believe the Pub has been there since 1720. My Grt. Grt. Grandfather was arrested at or in the Pub in 1799/80. He was transported to Australia and on gaining his freedom was a landowner and brickmaker to the colony. I have been told that a framed copy of his trial transcript is on the wall there. Any info gladly received.
