I picked up your message on The Golden Ball. I have done some extensive research on Garbutts and related people. I have quite a lot of the references for certificates for the families
Garbutt/Gleave/Skeen/Speet/Abbott/Budd. I am awaiting details about a picture of The Golden Ball as I believe there is a picture of it about but the person who might know where it is is on holiday until mid-september.
