The great stone was brought to northfield by ice age glaciers from the arenig mountains.When it was moved it was said by locals bad luck would follow.I am a student of archaeology & have some interesting information concerning a prehistoric alignment that links the stone with egg hill & the clents as well as a place called the fairy glen nr kidderminster. This is an equinox line and fits in with egg rolling games played on frankley beeches. cont me for more info
