researching my family history I found one member running The Star Inn at West Witton, N. Yorks. (still there as a guest house) but also another pub is mentioned somewhere called The Duke William run by another probable family member. Cannot find any info re where this pub was in West Witton, would be greatful for any info re both premises.
I spotted a pub over east yorkshire called The Old Duke William, maybe that is the full name of my old pub i am interested in. Who was the old duke william anyway.
