The Golden Cross was also ran by my ancestors from at least 1828 to 1871 the Cheshire Family. William Cheshire was the victualler, followed by his wife after his death in 1847. Control of the Golden Cross then passed to their third son James Cheshire. I'm also trying to find out more about the building have you found anything?
