Hi, I'm looking for any information about the Broad Face Hotel / Inn of the old market place in Reading.
It was demolished somewhere around 1950 I think. Any memories, pictures or info of any kind would be really appreciated. Particularly interested in the old sign, which I believe showed the face of a hanging victim or drowned man - which Samuel Pepys described in 1668 as "odd".
