I believe the Britannia was established in around 1770. It stood opposite Limehouse Town Hall and St Ann’s Church at 759 Commercial Road and survived as a pub until at least 1901. It is now demolished. A postcard showing the pub exists, but I'm afraid I do not have a copy myself.
