The Globe Inn, Chatham Road Gateshead. My Mary Ann McGurk was the Inn Keeper and brother John Francis McGurk and wife Margaret McGurk were the Beerhouse Keepers. dates, 1890-c1896. They were listed as Beer Retailers in the Kellys Trade Directory in 1890. Mary Ann McGurk at address Chatham Road Gateshead and John Francis (also uses Francis John McGurk) at Pipewellgate Gateshead. I have contacted about 5 or 6 places in around Gateshead Durham, to do with records/photos ect, with no luck. Its as if these places and people did not excist!! Anything would be appreciated..
