As regards TL11 examples, 393's great, and as a passenger, 1257 on a flat-out Belfast to Newcastle run was probably the best Tiger ride I ever had. 1106 and 1121 are lovely smooth machines to drive too, and 1139 also springs to mind.
It's nothing short of criminal the way this fleet has been decimated. Sadly a classic case of people that haven't got a clue what they're doing being put in charge of excessive funding. We'll see how things go in ten years time when all these plastic piles of dross are on their last low-floor low-emission high-consumption legs, and the days of generous funding have long gone! Trouble is, those that made the decisions will be long gone too, and probably screwing up fleets elsewhere whilst being paid exorbitant salaries or pensions.
