Driving with one hand is nothing new it was common practice , i can think of many a bristol where if u had drove with 2 hands fully on the steering wheel and corrected every small turn u would have ended up over a hedge! But u always had the other hand loose round the steering wheel ;)far easier too drive them like that and safer also the passenger seats had more cushion in them the seats on these modern buses has virtually none the size of them as shrunk to i thought we were all getting bigger? Has for the drivers seat belts (they come out of the seat and hurt even the average drivers shoulder, no adjustment) keeping u from the steering wheel when the seat is going up and down and the best adjustment of the steering wheel that makes it most comfortable for the majority of drivers obliterates the speedometer the ABS is a disaster waiting too happen it has a mind of its own at low speeds etc etc
The shifts are very tight but hey metro can leave runs out Ulsterbus are told "Keep them running"
