The entire nation north and south owes Werner Heubeck a debt of gratitude for his foresight and vision and as years go by this foresight will be remembered more and more.
An overlooked aspect of his genius was that it was Werner Heubeck who has made the current preservation of Northern Ireland vehicles situation possible.
This achievement will be remembered one hundred years from now and his contribution to transport heritage - similar to his contribution to every other area - is without equal.
He was one of those rare humans which come once in a generation, a fantastic man, and mine and the entire museum offer our sincere condolences to his widow. Ar dheis de go raibh a nanam!
