Who says the day of the N Tiger is finished?
Yesterday the following were out on Irish roads which must be a rather unique event.
400
460
468
598
1000
1003
1122
1131
1143
1200
1267
1274
1288
1299
2609
2624
2629
1310 was in reserve and 2620 and 434 were in the shops with air problems being worked on. 2610 was just parked up as she is not in the operational fleet at the moment, needing some work.
As regards the excellent suggestion for a farewell to N Tigers to judge from our results it is about 100 years too soon.
What might be interesting to do is to coincide it with Cultra and we will do a farewell run during the afternoon with probably a 13xx if that suits everyone.
The other alternative would be to have a N Tiger day next year here and we will turn out as many as we can - say about 20 to 40 - and if we got enough volunteer drivers put them on service 221 here.
I just think it is crazy the comments about the end of N Tigers as if they were all going to disappear somewhere and there would be no more when there will be at least 50 in service for another hundred years or so.
Just because they are not doing Ballymena to Portglenone does not mean the end. If you adopt that logic every route should have a farewell. And it is no argument either for purists to say that they will not be on Northern Irish roads and that simply is not true either as they most certainly will. So there you are. 20 TL 11 N Tigers on the road yesterday. Isn't it wonderful?
